Product Description

1. The Outdoor Lat Pulldown
This machine is designed to target the latissimus dorsi (the broad muscles of the back), as well as the biceps and rhomboids.

Design & Structure:
Unlike the seated cable machine found in indoor gyms, the outdoor version is a lever-based, biokinetic machine. It typically consists of:

A tall, galvanized steel frame: Powder-coated to withstand sun, rain, and vandalism.

An adjustable seat: Usually a molded plastic or coated metal seat positioned in the center.

Overhead levers: Instead of a cable and bar, there are two independent handles attached to rotating arms or a single pivoting bar that extends from the top of the frame.

Weight stack alternative: Outdoor machines rarely use metal weight stacks (due to rust and pinch hazards). Instead, they use a self-weighted or "plate-loaded" resistance system. The user sits on the seat, and the resistance is generated by moving the user's own body weight against a lever arm, or by moving a stack of non-corrosive composite weights housed in a shroud.

How it works:
The user sits on the seat and reaches up to grip the handles (either a wide bar or dual neutral-grip handles). They pull the handles down towards their shoulders. The machine uses a cam or linkage system to provide constant resistance throughout the range of motion, mimicking the feel of a cable machine without the need for pulleys or cables that fray outdoors.

Key Differences from Indoor Gym:

Motion Path: The outdoor version often moves in a slight arc rather than a perfectly straight vertical line to accommodate the physics of lever arms.

Stability: Because the user is moving their body weight against the lever, the seat is usually contoured to lock the thighs under pads to prevent the user from being lifted off the seat during the pull.

2. The Outdoor Chest Press
This machine is designed to target the pectoralis major (chest), along with the anterior deltoids (shoulders) and triceps.

Design & Structure:
This is usually a seated, independent-arm press. The structure is more compact and horizontal than the Lat Pulldown.

A low-profile steel frame: Designed for stability during pushing motions.

A contoured backrest: Usually angled at 70 to 90 degrees (upright) to reduce shoulder strain, unlike the flat bench often used in gyms.

Independent push arms: Two levers extend from the sides of the frame. These arms have handles positioned at shoulder height.

Resistance mechanism: Like the Lat Pulldown, it uses either selectable composite weight stacks (protected in a plastic/composite housing) or a biokinetic lever system where the user pushes against their own body weight or a calibrated hydraulic piston.

How it works:
The user sits with their back flat against the pad and places their hands on the handles. They push forward until their arms are extended (without locking the elbows). The machine is designed so the resistance is greatest at the start of the movement (the "sticking point") and slightly decreases at the lockout to protect the elbow joints.

Key Differences from Indoor Gym:

Independent Arms: Most outdoor chest press machines feature independent arms. This corrects muscle imbalances (forcing both sides to work equally) and allows for a more natural range of motion than a single-bar chest press.

No Cables: Indoor chest press machines often rely on cables and pulleys. Outdoor versions use direct-drive levers or stainless-steel cam mechanisms to eliminate maintenance issues like snapped cables or dry pulleys.

Common Design Features (For Both Machines)
Since these units are installed in public parks, they share specific engineering traits:

Weatherproofing: They are made of heavy-gauge steel (usually 2.5mm to 3mm thickness) with a polyester powder coating to prevent rust. Moving parts use sealed bearings or bronze bushings that do not require lubrication.

Bio-kinematics: This is the principle of designing machines to fit the human body's natural movement pattern. Unlike gym machines which often require a "pin" to adjust the seat height, outdoor machines usually have adjustable seats with pop-pins or multiple mounting holes to accommodate users from 4'10" to 6'4".

Instructional Signage: Affixed to the frame is a placard showing the primary muscles used, the correct posture, and a QR code linking to video tutorials, as there is no personal trainer on-site.

Accessibility: These machines are often designed to be ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant, allowing a wheelchair user to roll up to the chest press or transfer easily to the lat pulldown seat.

Summary of User Experience
Feature    Lat Pulldown (Outdoor)    Chest Press (Outdoor)
Primary Muscle    Upper Back (Lats)    Chest (Pectorals)
Movement    Pulling (Vertical)    Pushing (Horizontal)
Seat Type    High seat with thigh pads (to anchor body)    Upright seat with back support
Resistance Style    Lever/Cam system; often user body-weight based    Independent arms; composite weight stack or hydraulics
Common User Issue    Lifting off seat due to incorrect weight selection    Over-extending shoulders; using momentum to push
These machines are designed to provide a functional, strength-building workout that mimics the biomechanics of traditional gym equipment while requiring zero electricity and minimal maintenance.

FAQ

Q  1. What's your MOQ?
A   Generally speaking, our MOQ is 1 set, which varies with different products.

Q  2. Are you a factory or trading company?
A   We are a professional manufacturer for outdoor fitness equipments for more than 15 years.

Q  3. Can you make products with our brand?
A  Surely,we are welcome to cooperate as OEM service

Q  4. Do you offer a free design, consultation and playground equipment design?
A  Yes! If you are considering a new school playground or fitness equipment and playground equipment for a holiday park or visitor attraction, one of our playground advisors will come to see you, assess the area and discuss with you the different types of playground equipment we can offer. The playground advisor will then sit down with our design team and put together a full proposal including 3D design, product specification and quotation for you.

Q  5. How long will I have to wait for my design and quotation?
A  This depends on how large the project is and whether you require a full 3D design pack. Simple quotations can be retumed with 48 hours if required, however we like to make sure the design is exactly right and a full proposal pack will usually take 2-3 weeks to put together.

Q  6. Can you help us to secure funding for the project?
A  Yes! We are pleased to be able to offer funding support to community groups, schools and charities, and would provide a dedicated funding expert to help you. They have a wealth of experience in securing fund for all types of organisations.

Q  7. Are there different ways to layout your gym?
A   By grouping the outdoor gym equipment into one gym zone you can create a great social gym park. This is better suited for group workouts, easier to maintain and ideal or smaller parks. Arranging the gym equipment into smaller groups around your park helps to revitalise areas of your park and encourages more timid residents to use the outdoor gym equipment Locating the equipment along a trail offers the possibility of using the equipment as part of a jog or walk between each station.

Q   8. Do we need planning permission to install outdoor gym equipment?
A   In nearly all cases not, but check with your local authority to be sure.

Q   9. Can we just order the equipment and not installation?
A   Yes, you can purchase our equipment on a 'supply-only' basis. We can provide installation guides and support to help assist you with the installation process.

Q  10. What kind of ground surface can the outdoor gym equipment be installed into?
A  Our equipment can be installed into cement tarmac and into level grass areas
